A stranger was seated next to a little girl on the airplane when the stranger turned to her and said, ‘Let’s talk. I’ve heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.’

The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, ‘What would you like to talk about?’

‘Oh, I don’t know,’ said the stranger. ‘How about nuclear power?’ and he smiles.

Once a fisherman got up very early in the morning.

Since it was impossible to see anything in the dark he decided to kill time. He searched in the dark and found a sack full of stone like stuff. He carried it near the river bank and started tossing them high and far into the river.

Two little boys, aged 8 and 10, are excessively mischievous. They are always getting into trouble and their parents know all about it. If any mischief occurs in their town, the two boys are probably involved.

The boys’ mother heard that a preacher in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The preacher agreed, but he asked to see them individually. So the mother sent the 8 year old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the preacher in the afternoon.

The preacher, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly,

“Do you know where God is, son?”

  • All beds have special L-shaped cover sheets which reach up to the armpit level on a woman but only to waist level on the man lying beside her.
  • It’s easy for anyone to land a plane providing there is someone in the control tower to talk you down.
  • Once applied, lipstick will never rub off – even while scuba diving.
  • The ventilation system of any building is the perfect hiding place. Nobody will ever think of looking for you in there and you can travel to any other part of the building you want without difficulty. There is never any dust or lint in the ventilation ducts.
  • If you need to reload your gun, you will always have more ammunition – even if you haven’t been carrying any before now.
  • The Eiffel Tower can be seen from any window in Paris.
  • A man will show no pain while taking the most ferocious beating but will wince when a woman tries to clean his wounds.

Nowadays, I make it a point to wake up early to catch a glimpse of the rising sun, with it the rising hopes and confidence to take the day come what may…
